Typus: Tien-Shan Occidentalis, montes Kuramensis, prope pagum Uygursay, N 40 54’54.7’’ E 71 03’ 28,1’’ h= 530 m. s. l., 20.03.200 9, Tojibaev (TASH).

Species in honorem Dr. Asad Sharipov Taschkentensis denominata est. Bulb ovate, 3 сm late, outer tunics coriaceous, darkish brown, non prolongated, inside hairy. Scape glabrous (10) 15-20 cm long. Leaves 3,7-10 см long, glabrous, lanceolate, nearly verticillate, curled in the living stage with undulate margins, interior ones 0,5- 1 cm thick. Bloom solitary. Tepals yellow without spots, outer ones elliptic or prolonged in the upper part obtuse or emarginated, 2 cm width, inner ones elliptic in the upper part emarginated with single hairs, 2 cm width, 2,5 cm long. Stamen 9- 10 mm long, 2-2,5-times shorter than tepals. Filaments yellow, glabrous. Anthers yellow, as long as filaments. Ovary greenish, longer than stamen. Capsule unknown.

This species is related to yellow-flowered group of T. altaica PALL. ex SPRENG. , which is naturally growing in Altai (Siberia) and Dzhungarian Alatau (Central Asia). In the northern Tian-Shan (Ketmen range) this group is presented by T. iliensis REGEL and in Pamir-Alai (Darvaz range) - T. anisophylla VVED. There is one more yellow-flowered species in the northern part - T. ferganica VVED. ( Fig.1 View Fig ). All these 3 species are differing from T. scharipovii ( Fig. 2 View Fig ) by the form of the leaves, as well as by sharp tepals (VVEDENSKY & KOVALEVSKAYA 1971).
