1. Clytra (Clytraria) tanae sp. nov.

Type material. Holotype: CHINA: Qinghai: 3, Guide, 2340–2640m, 29.VI.1957, coll. Yiran Zhang, ( IZ- CAS). Paratypes: CHINA: Qinghai: 103, 4ƤƤ, same data as holotype; CHINA: Yunnan: 23, 4ƤƤ, 1957, coll. Unknown, (IZ-CAS).
Description. Body sub-cylindrical. Head and mouthparts black, 2nd to 4th antennomeres fulvous, other antennomeres brown. Pronotum fulvous, Posteromedially with an oblong black spot, sometimes extending anteriad to median part, lateral to the median spot with a smaller black spot (occasionally reduced or missing). Scutellum black. Elytra fulvous, each elytron with two black bands ( Figs. 1 View FIGURE 1. C A, 12A): one oblique, from humerus to basal onethird of elytron, but not touching elytral suture; second band transverse, at apical one-third, connected at elytral suture but not touching lateral margin of elytron. Ventral side of body black, propleura fulvous; legs black, tibiae and tarsi fulvous.
Head small, vertex slightly convex, surface sparsely and finely punctured, with feeble, longitudinal midgroove. Inner margins of eyes with sparse setae, frons covered with wrinkles and oblong punctures, especially medially; clypeus coarsely punctured, widely incised at anterior margin and with short setae. Labrum slightly emarginate, clothed with sparse setae; length ratio of maxillary palpomeres 0.3:1.2:0.6:1.3; labial palpomeres 0.3:1.0:1.1; mentum deeply emarginate. Antennae short, extending to base of pronotum; all antennomeres except 3rd densely pubescent; 1st antennomere large and oblong, 2nd and 3rd small and rounded, 4th triangular, last antennomere ovate, others serrate; length ratio of antennomeres 1.5:0.4:0.5:0.8:1.0:0.9:0.9:1.0:1.1:1.1:1.2.
Pronotum transverse, 1.9 times as wide as long, widest at base, slightly convex, narrowly bordered; surface of basal pronotum with sparse but distinct punctures; anterior angles rectangular, posterior ones obtusely angled; lateral margins slightly arcuate, posterior margin roundly lobed medially. Scutellum elongate, triangular, impunctate, base sparsely pubescent, apex obtuse, feebly elevated above surface of elytra.
Elytra 1.6 times as long as wide, parallel-sided in first four-fifths, shiny, surface covered with indistinct punctures. Epipleura present along anterobasal one-third of elytra.
Ventral side of body clothed with long, silvery pubescence. Legs robust with long pubescence, tarsi broad, last tarsomere long, length ratio of protarsomeres 0.5:0.9:0.4:1.4.
Median lobe with broad and slightly emarginated apex ( Figs. 1 View FIGURE 1. C D, 1F), ventral side ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1. C F) covered with tuft of setae at apical one-fifth, feebly convex medially, each side with a shallow, elongate depression in ventral view.
Female. Body more robust than males. Tarsi more slender. Spermatheca ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1. C G) blackish-brown, mediumsized, apical part slightly inflated; spermathecal duct thin and pale, loosely coiled 10–20 times, base long and inflated (uncoiled).
Measurement. Length: male: 7.5–8.5 mm, female: 8.5–9.5 mm.
Entomology. This new species is dedicated to Prof. Juanjie Tan.
Distribution. China (Qinghai, Yunnan).
Remarks. This new species is similar to C. (Clytraria) atraphaxidis asiatica , but the median lobe apex is broader and shallowly emarginate, the median orifice has a longer sclerite in dorsal view ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1. C D) and the spermatheca ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1. C G) is more inflated in the new species.
