Male and female. Deep piceous to black with numerous, tiny ochraceous spots on forewings. Coloration of head similar to O. lanceolata but darker. Forewing venation dark brown with yellow speckles. Apices of hind femur, tibia and tarsal segments black, setae on hind tibia brown to light brown. Female seventh sternite posterior margin broadly convex ( Fig.10 G View FIGURES 10 ).

Male genitalia. Pygofer in lateral view with long, narrow caudoventral process, process bifurcate near midlength and outer fork much longer than inner one, both acutely pointed apically ( Figs. 38 View FIGURES 38 H–I). Subgenital plate long, narrow and of uniform width throughout except at base and apex ( Fig. 38 E View FIGURES 38 ). Style short, broad at base and apophysis conically rounded at apex ( Fig. 38 F View FIGURES 38 ). Connective as wide as long ( Fig. 38 G View FIGURES 38 ). Aedeagus with long spinelike, subapical, glabrous process and bifurcate apically with short forks; distal 1/8 of aedeagal shaft with dorsal row of more than 6 teeth in two rows, gonopore basad of shaft process on lateral margin ( Figs. 38 View FIGURES 38 A–D).

Female genitalia. Valvula I in lateral view, slightly curved, with sculptured surface restricted to distal ¼ ( Figs. 12 View FIGURES 12 I–J). Valvulae II toothed in apical ¼, teeth regularly triangular and equidistant ( Figs.12 View FIGURES 12 K–L).

Measurements. Male 8.4−8.5mm long, 2.1 mm wide across eyes and 2.6 mm wide across posterolateral angles of pronotum. Female 8.8 mm long, 2.1 mm wide across eyes and 2.5 mm wide across posterolateral angles of pronotum.

Etymology. The species is named for the locality, Umroi airport, Shillong.

Remarks: Olidiana umroensis sp. nov. resembles O. tongmaiensis Zhang from China but can be easily distinguished by the unequally forked ventral pygofer process (equally forked in tongmainensis) and by the more than six pairs of apical teeth on the aedeagal shaft (three in tongmaiensis ).
