References and records from Norway

Canthocamptus insignipes sp. nov. – Lilljeborg (1902): 53 – 56, type locality – Porsanger municipality, Finnmark County, Norway.

Lilljeborg (1902) published his synopsis on the freshwater harpacticoid fauna of Sweden; however, the material he used for the description of M. insignipes insignipes was from Norway and the species has not been found in Sweden. The material was provided by the leading Swedish zoological curator, Gustaf Kolthoff, and it was sampled from a small water body located in the neighbourhood of Porsanger, Finmark county. Later, a more detailed description including drawings of this species was provided by Olofsson (1917), based on the original material of Lilljeborg (1902).
