Type species

Dentalium circinatum Sowerby, 1823 (subsequent designation by Pilsbry & Sharp, 1897: 127).

Diagnosis

Shell medium, well curved, fragile but not thin, shiny, translucent white, yellow, orange, red, lacking sculpture. Apex with long, regular slit or short V­shape notch. Section circular throughout.
