Geographical distribution. Mexico (Hidalgo, Veracruz, Jalisco, Chiapas), Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, French Guiana, Brazil (Amazonas, Pará), Peru, Bolivia (Cochabamba, Santa Cruz).

Atrypanius implexus is recorded from Colombia, but without specific locality. Thus, the above is the first Department and locality record for the species in Colombia.
