Type Locality: Mozambique, mountains south of Lake Malawi.

Vernacular Names: Malawi Bushbaby.

Distribution: S Malawi and neighbouring region of Mozambique.

Conservation: CITES – Appendix II.

Discussion: G. zanzibaricus species group. An undescribed taxon occurs on Mt. Cholo, Malawi; vocalizations of the "Kalwe small" galago ( Bearder et al., 1995) may pertain to either of these ( Groves, 2001 c:113).
