Otoniela sp. ; Rodrigues et al., 2008: 366.

Types. Male holotype from Tigre (22°56’16.60”S; 52°41’12.97”W), Buenos Aires, Argentina, 19.VIII.1981, T.M. Viana leg., deposited in MACN-Ar. GoogleMaps Two males and two females paratypes with same data of the holotype, deposited in IBSP 279633 GoogleMaps .

Etymology. The specific epithet is a toponymic in apposition and refers to the type locality.

Diagnosis. Males of Otoniela tigre sp. nov. resemble those O. quadrivittata and O. negrinho sp. nov. by the precense of pointed ventral tegular projection (see Brescovit 1997a: 159, figs 136, 137; Figs 9C View FIGURE 9 , 10G, H View FIGURE 10 ; 11C, D View FIGURE 11 ). They differ from others species of the quadrivittata group by the prolaterally transversal short ventral tegular projection, long retrolateral patellar apophysis ( Figs 9C–E View FIGURE 9 ; 10C–H View FIGURE 10 ). Retrolaterally ventral tegular projection in O. quadrivittata (see Brescovit 1997a: 159, figs 136, 137); transversal ventral tegular projection distally larger and median apophysis with more accentuated apical curvature in O. negrinho sp. nov. ( Figs 11C–E View FIGURE 11 ). Females resemble those of O. quadrivittata (see Brescovit, 1997a, figs 138, 139) and O. negrinho sp. nov. by the united spermathecae in the anterior region of the vulva ( Figs 9F, G View FIGURE 9 ; 11G, H View FIGURE 11 ). They differ by the anterior third of copulatory ducts narrowed ( Fig. 9G View FIGURE 9 ). Long copulatory ducts laterally inserted on the spermathecae in O. quadrivittata (see Brescovit, 1997a, figs 138, 139) and wide opening of the copulatory ducts in O. negrinho sp. nov. ( Fig. 11H View FIGURE 11 ).

Description. Male (MACN-Ar). Carapace orange with paramedian bands brown. Chelicerae brown. Endites, labium and sternum yellow. Legs dark orange slightly darker distally on the tibiae and metatarsi.
