Torrenticola baueri Bader & Sepasgozarian, 1987 , n. syn.

Material examined. NHMB 120-131, Torrenticola baueri, Elburs, 2280 m, 26.5.75, Ba-J/ 16 12/16 /2.

Remarks. In the original description, Bader & Sepasgozarian (1987) compared T. baueri with T. anomala , a taxonomically distant species, but were not aware of the close similarity of the former to T. barsica . In the type series, the following details and measurements were observed: Male: dorsal shield L/W 553/422; frontal plate L/W128/59, shoulder plate L/W 184/75; ventral shield L/W 706/500; gnathosomal bay L 145, Cx-I L 278, median L 132, Cx-II+III median L 97; genital field L/W 156/131; distance genital field – excretory pore 103, distance genital field – caudal idiosoma margin 173; dL: P-1, 37; P-2, 115; P-3, 66; P-4, 108, P-5, 20; L P-2/P-4 ratio 1.07. Female: dorsal shield L/W 700/544; frontal plate L/W 141/66, shoulder plate L/W 192/81; ventral shield L/W 875/663; Cx-I L 322, Cx-II+III median L 34; genital field L/W 184/ 175, ratio 1.05; distance genital field – excretory pore 175, distance genital field – caudal idiosoma margin 320; gnathosoma L 347; dL: P-1, 39; P-2, 125; P-3, 72; P-4, 117, P-5, 23; L P-2/P-4 ratio1.07. These measurements lie within the variability range of Torrenticola barsica (see Cicolani & Di Sabatino 1990). Therefore, Torrenticola baueri is synonymized here with T. barsica .
