Lectotype (Robson in Taxon 39: 134. 1990): [icon] " Hypericum , floribus monogynis, staminibus corolla longioribus, calycibus coloratis caule fruticoso" in Miller, Fig. Pl. Gard. Dict. 2: 101, t. 151, f. 2. 1757. - Typotype: Herb. Miller ( BM) .

Current name: Hypericum monogynum L. ( Clusiaceae ).

Note: A later homonym of H. chinense Osbeck (1757) , and hence illegitimate.
