Synonym in Iranian literature. Encyrtus lecaniorum (Mayr, 1876) ( Farahbakhsh 1961; Modarres Awal 1997; Esfandiari et al. 2005).

Host associations in Iran. Eulecanium coryli [ E. tiliae ] ( Farahbakhsh, 1961), E. tiliae on elm tree, E. coryli [ E. tiliae ] on apple tree, Coccus hesperidum on Robinia ; Morus sp., Convolvulus arvensis , Sphaerolecanium prunastri on prune tree ( Davoodi et al. 2003c, 2004d; Ebrahimi 2014), S. prunastri on Prunus ( Esfandiari et al. 2005) , Coccus hesperidum on oleander ( Lotfalizadeh 2010b) .

Distribution in Iran. Guilan, Mazandaran ( Farahbakhsh 1961; Modarres Awal 1997), Guilan and Alborz ( Davoodi et al. 2003c, 2004d; Ebrahimi 2014), Iran ( Trjapitzin & Myartseva 2004), Chaharmahal & Bakhtiyari ( Esfandiari et al. 2005), Guilan ( Ghahari et al. 2010), Tehran and Lorestan ( Lotfalizadeh 2010b). General distribution. Cosmopolitan.
