Host associations in Iran. Sphaerolecanium prunastri , Eulecanium cryli [ E. tiliae ], E. tiliae on rosaceous fruit trees ( Behdad & Barouti 1978; Farahbakhsh 1961; Radjabi 1989; Modarres Awal 1997); Anapulvinaria pistaciae on Pistacia vera (Yazdani & Rajabi 1993) , Sphaerolecanium sp. ( Ghahari et al. 2010).

Distribution in Iran. Isfahan, Tehran and Markazi ( Behdad & Barouti 1978; Farahbakhsh 1961; Radjabi 1989; Modarres Awal 1997) Kerman provine (Yazdani & Rajabi 1993), West Azarbaijan ( Ghahari et al. 2010). General distribution. Holarctic and Oriental regions.

Remarks. According to Lotfalizadeh (2010b) the report of Blastothrix sericea from Iran ( Davoodi et al. 2004d) is a misidentification of B. brittanica .
