Diagnosis.

1.8-2.4 mm long (mean = 2.05 mm; n = 5); 2.86-3.6 × as long as wide. This species is distinguished by its rounded elytral apex.

Similar species.

Planiculus limatus , P. shiva .

Host plants.

Polyphagous (e.g., Beeson 1961; Browne 1961b; Ohno et al. 1988).
