Eileencoxia S.Blanco & C.E.Wetzel , nom. nov.
Replaced name: — Coxia Lange-Bert. & Gerd Moser View in CoL in Biblioth. Diatomol. 38: 107. 1998 (Bacillariophyta, Amphipleuraceae ), nom. illeg. [non Coxia Endl. in Gen . Pl. 733. 1839 (Spermatophyta, Primulaceae ) (= Lysimachia L.)].
Type (designated by Lange-Bertalot in Moser et al. 1998: 87): — Coxia guillauminii (Manguin ex Kociolek & Reviers) Gerd Moser et al. ≡ Amphipleura guillauminii Manguin ex Kociolek & Reviers ≡ A. guillauminii Manguin , nom. inval.
Notes: — Eileencoxia commemorates the British diatomist Eileen J. Cox, and is currently regarded as a monotypic genus. Coxia Endl. is now considered a later taxonomic synonym of Lysimachia L., but this does not prevent the rejection of its later homonyms (Art. 53 note 1 of the ICN).
Eileencoxia guillauminii (Manguin ex Kociolek & Reviers) S.Blanco & C.E.Wetzel , comb. nov. ≡ Amphipleura guillauminii Manguin ex Kociolek & Reviers in Cryptog. Algol . 17: 200. 1996.
