One male specimen fits the C. pallipes characteristics, except that it has inconspicuous brown pruinose bands on the base of tergites 2–5. These were not described in the original description, or observed by Rafael (1991) in the specimens from Canada and Mexico.

Material. NICARAGUA, Granada, Volcán Mombacho, Bosque Nuboso, 1115 m, 30.xii.1997, J.M. Maes, trampa (1ɗ MEL).
