Material examined. 2♂♂, 2♀♀, LEMMI — VIETNAM, Khanh Hoa province, Nhatrang Bay, 12°12’19.1”N 109°11’16.7”E, in burrows in the mud banks of the estuarine part of the Bé river during low tide, yabby-pump, coll. I. Marin, 03 April 2004 ; 10♂♂, 10♀♀ ( LEMMI)—same data as above .

Size. The larger male has CL 10 mm, BL 27 mm; the larger females has CL 09 mm, BL 24 mm; males larger than females.

GenBank accession numbers. Unfortunately, we were unable to obtain genetic data for W. nhatrangensis from our specimens, probably due to the long-term storage since 2004.

Habitat and ecology. All examined shrimps were collected during the day using a hand pump (yabby-pump) from small (5–7 cm depth) burrows in the muddy shore in the estuarine part of the rivers. Similar to Wolffogebia cangioensis sp. nov., these shrimps also live in short vertical burrows, which they probably dig immediately, settling to the bottom after night swarming in the water column. We assume that the biology of these species is similar.

Distribution. The species is known from the estuarine part of Bé (Sông Cùa Bé) and Cai (Sông Cùa Cai) rivers of the Nha Trang Bay, Vietnam ( Ngoc-Ho et al., 2001).
