Distribution and remarks: tropical to warm temperate Atlantic. Found off the coast of Morocco and Western Sahara, and has been reported from Nigeria, and Cameroon. This species ranges from Cape Blanc ( Mauritania) to deep-water sites in the Gulf of Guinea, and off shore along the Atlantic ridge south to 15 oS.
