Current name: Umbilicaria vellea (L.) Ach. View in CoL (Umbiliculariaceae).

Note: Jørgensen & al. (in Bot. J. Linn. Soc. 115: 364, 382, f. 64. 1994) restricted Howe’s original type choice to one of the specimens on the sheet.
