Vernacular Names: Schneider's Leaf-nosed Bat.

Synonyms: Hipposideros apiculatus Gray 1838 ; Hipposideros aureus Kelaart 1853 ; Hipposideros blythi Kelaart 1953 ; Hipposideros dukhunensis Sykes 1831 ; Hipposideros marsupialis Desmarest 1820 ; Hipposideros penicillatus Gray 1838 ; Hipposideros pulchellus K. Andersen 1918 ; Hipposideros templetonii Kelaart 1850 .

Distribution: India, Sri Lanka.

Conservation: IUCN 2003 and IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001) – Lower Risk (lc).
