Chonocephalus digitalis Borgmeier, 1967: 207 (part). Holotype male, Malaya: Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and paratype male, Selangor, N. Klang Rantau Panjang (USNM) [Examined]. Disney, 2002: 9.

This species has been transported around the world to every biogeographic region, except the Palaearctic. It is probably Nearctic in origin.
