Generitype of Rheedia Linnaeus.

Current name: Garcinia humilis (Vahl) C.D. Adams ( Clusiaceae ).

Note: D’Arcy (in Ann. Missouri Bot. Gard. 67: 1014. 1981) treated unseen Plumier material, which he supposed to be in P, as type. Even if it exists, it would not have been seen by Linnaeus and would not have been original material for the name. Howard’s type choice is therefore accepted here.
