TYPE LOCALITY: South Africa, Natal, near Durban .

DISTRIBUTION: Most of subsaharan Africa except the central forested region; Morocco; Yemen; Zanzibar and Pemba.

SYNONYMS: angolensis , aurantiaca, bicornis, braima, gracilis , nanus , tephrus (see Hayman and Hill, 1971:29).
