TYPE LOCALITY: Brazil, Sâo Paulo, Ipanema .
DISTRIBUTION: S Mexico to Colombia; Guianas; SE Brazil.
SYNONYMS: cozumelae .
COMMENTS: Subgenus Mimon . Includes cozumelae ; see Schaldach (1965:132), Villa-R. (1966:216), and Hall (1981: 112); but also see Jones and Carter (1976:12).
