TYPE SPECIES: Phyllophora megalotis Gray, 1842 View in CoL .

SYNONYMS: Barticonycteris, Glyphonycteris, Lampronycteris, Neonycteris, Trinycteris, Xenoctenes (see Koopman, 1978b:4).

COMMENTS: Corbet and Hill (1980:54) listed Barticonycteris as a distinct genus without comment. Revised by Sanborn (1949). A key to the genus was presented by Medellin et al. (1985).
