TYPE LOCALITY: Bolivia, Yungas between Secure and Isiboro rivers .
DISTRIBUTION: Honduras to Bolivia, NE Argentina, Guianas, and E Brazil.
SYNONYMS: amblyotis, centralis , childreni, colombianus, laephotis , occidentalis .
COMMENTS: Includes laephotis and amblyotis; see Davis and Carter (1978). See Medellin and Arita (1989, Mammalian Species, 334).
