TYPE SPECIES: Sturnira spectrum Gray, 1842 (= Phyllostoma lilium E. Geoffroy, 1810 View in CoL ).

SYNONYMS: Corvira, Sturnirops (see Jones and Carter, 1976:21).

COMMENTS: Davis (1980) gave a key to all but one of the species recognized here.
