TYPE LOCALITY: India, Madras, Tranquebar .

DISTRIBUTION: Sri Lanka, India, S China, SE Asia, W Malaysia, Sumatra, adjacent small islands; perhaps Borneo.

SYNONYMS: angulatus , babi , gangeticus, pagensis , scherzeri , serasani.

COMMENTS: Includes angulatus (see Hill and Thonglongya, 1972). Does not include titthaecheileus (see Hill, 1983).
