TYPE LOCALITY: Indonesia, Sulawesi, middle Sulawesi, Gimpoe .

DISTRIBUTION: Sulawesi.

COMMENTS: Considered a subspecies of whiteheadi by Laurie and Hill (1954), but as a separate species by Peterson and Fenton (1970).
