TYPE LOCALITY: South Africa, Natal, near Durban .
DISTRIBUTION: Cameroon to Somalia, south to Angola and South Africa (Liberian record probably erroneous); Pemba and Zanzibar Isis.
SYNONYMS: haldemani, neumanni, stuhlmanni, zenkeri .
COMMENTS: Reviewed by Acharya (1992, Mammalian Species, 394).
