TYPE LOCALITY: India, Bengal .
DISTRIBUTION: Maidive Isis, India (incl. Andaman Isis), Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Burma, Tsinghai ( China). The Tsinghai record requires confirmation.
STATUS: CITES - Appendix II.
SYNONYMS: ariel , assamensis, kelaarti, leucocephalus , médius .
COMMENTS: Includes ariel ; see Hill (1958:5, 6).
