DISTRIBUTION: Portugal, Spain, France, Rumania, Yugoslavia, Bulgaria, Greece, Transcaucasia; Morocco to Cyrenaica ( Libya); Mediterranean islands, Iran, Afghanistan, Asia Minor, Israel, Egypt.

SYNONYMS: carpentanus, tunetae.

COMMENTS: Revised by DeBlase (1972).
