TYPE LOCALITY: Sudan, Blue Nile, White Nile River, West bank, Jebel el Funj .
DISTRIBUTION: Senegal to Saudi Arabia, south to Botswana and Transvaal ( South Africa); Madagascar.
SYNONYMS: miarensis , unicolor .
COMMENTS: Subgenus Mops .
