TYPE LOCALITY: Venezuela, Caracas, LaGuaira .
DISTRIBUTION: Guerrero, Oaxaca ( Mexico); Nicaragua to Colombia, Venezuela and Guyana.
COMMENTS: Listed as a synonym of rufus by Cabrera (1958:132); but see Jones et al. (1977).
