TYPE LOCALITY: Brazil, Bahia, Sao Francisco River .
DISTRIBUTION: Venezuela, Trinidad, Surinam, Brazil, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay, N Argentina.
SYNONYMS: ondila, downsi, fosteri , fumarius, pantana, rufocastaneus, ursinus .
COMMENTS: Includes pantana; see Goodwin and Greenhall (1962).
