TYPE LOCALITY: Somalia, Northwest Province, Hargeisa .

DISTRIBUTION: Guinea-Bissau to Somalia, south to Namibia and South Africa; Madagascar.

SYNONYMS: humbloti , ugandae , vansoni, zuluensis .

COMMENTS: Subgenus Neoromicia . Includes zuluensis ; see Koopman (1975:404, 405).
