TYPE LOCALITY: Guinea-Bissau, Bissau .

DISTRIBUTION: Senegal and Guinea to Ethiopia and NE Zaire; perhaps Tanzania.

SYNONYMS: rectitragus .

COMMENTS: Subgenus Neoronticia. This species is called pusillus by Hayman and Hill (1971); but see Koopman (1975:406, 407).
