TYPE LOCALITY: Argentina, Corrientes .
DISTRIBUTION: N Argentina, Brazil, and Guianas to Jalisco and Tamaulipas ( Mexico).
SYNONYMS: carteri, chapmani , chiralensis, dorianus, findleyi , gaumeri , montosus.
COMMENTS: Subgenus Eptesicus . Includes montosus; see Koopman (19786:19), but see also Davis (1966).
