TYPE LOCALITY: USA, Pennsylvania, Erie Co .

DISTRIBUTION: N Baja California, Michoacan, and Nuevo Leon ( Mexico) to S British Columbia ( Canada), east to Maine ( USA) and S Quebec ( Canada).

SYNONYMS: ciliolabrum , melanorhinus .

COMMENTS: Subgenus Selysius . Called subulatus in Hall (1981: 187); but see Glass and Baker (1968:259) who showed that subulatus was probalby an older name for yumanensis . Includes ciliolabrum , and melanorhinus , but see van Zyll de Jong (1984).
