TYPE LOCALITY: "Southern Brazil."
DISTRIBUTION: Bolivia, Argentina, SE Brazil, Uruguay.
SYNONYMS: alter, dinelli, nubilus, polythrix.
COMMENTS: Subgenus Leuconoe . Included in ruber by Cabrera (1958:102), but see LaVal (1973a:36-40).
