TYPE LOCALITY: Nepal .
DISTRIBUTION: Afghanistan to Kweichow, Kwangsi, Kiangsu and Fukien ( China); Taiwan; Korea; Tsushima Isl ( Japan); Philippines; Sumatra, Java, Sulawesi, and Bali.
SYNONYMS: andersoni , auratus , bartelsi, chofukusei, flavus , hermani , pallida, rufoniger , rufopictus , tsuensis , watasei , weberi (see Findley, 1972:42).
COMMENTS: Subgenus Myotis .
