TYPE LOCALITY: India, Coromandel Coast, Pondicherry .

DISTRIBUTION: Afghanistan, Pakistan, India (including Nicobar Isis), Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, Burma, S China, Thailand, Vietnam.

SYNONYMS: afghanus, blythii , coromandelicus, micropus , parvipes , portensis , tramatus.

COMMENTS: Subgenus Pipistrellus . Does not include aladdin ; see Corbet (1978c:53). See comment under P. pipistrellus .
