DISTRIBUTION: Washington to SW Oklahoma ( USA), and Baja California, south to Hidalgo and Guerrero ( Mexico).

SYNONYMS: apus, australis , maximus, merriami, oklahomae, potosinus, santarosae.

COMMENTS: Subgenus Hypsugo .
