TYPE LOCALITY: Senegal .
DISTRIBUTION: Senegal to Sudan and Kenya to Mozambique.
SYNONYMS: alvenslebeni , gigas .
COMMENTS: For a review of this species see Robbins (1978). The identity of this species is clear and nigrita is the senior synonym of gigas . Specimens previously called nigrita should be called dinganii (see Robbins, 1978:212-213).
