( IPPC). Measurements (mm). Male (n=1). BL 14, PL 2.5, PW 3.5, FWL 2.5, HWL 3.5, HLL 8.5, CL 4.5, HW 3.5. Distribution: China (Yunnan). Description. Male. Small to medium size for Gryllinae , black throughout the body ( Fig. 5A View FIGURE 5 ).
The occiput wide, round, and full, forming a vertical surface with the labrum of the face; the frontal rostrum wide and high, with both sides also forming a vertical plane. Antennal scape square and shield-shaped, and almost as wide as half of the frontal rostrum ( Fig. 6B View FIGURE 6 ). Eyes black, protruding to both sides, narrow on the lower side, with a line on the upper edge liking a yellow-brown eyebrow. Ocellus yellowish brown, with a wide and flat buccal side. The median ocelli extremely small, and transverse, and the lateral ocelli large and circular, located at the base of the frontal rostrum. The middle part of the frontal rostrum wide, while the base and end sides short and narrow. Clypeus shield-shaped, wide and flat, labrum wide and flat, and the end edge narrow and straight. The maxillary palpus bearing a knife-like end segment, which longer than the third segment. The labial palpus also possessing a knife-like end segment, which about the same length as the first two segments.
The pronotum rectangular, and horizontally wide; the anterior margin widely concaved, and the posterior margin straight. The lateral lobe of pronotum vertical, with low front side corners and high rear side corners, the edges slightly ribbed ( Fig. 6C View FIGURE 6 ), and the rear end corner extending back into a leaf shape.
Wing absent. Tegmen short and the end curving, approximately as long as the pronotum. Longitudinal veins on both sides of the tegmina, and end branching. Fewer basal veins. Apical field with fewer veins, forming a network ( Fig. 5A View FIGURE 5 ).
Leg dark brown, foreleg, and middle leg armed with black hair. The anterior tibia only bearing an outer tympanum. The posterior femora armed with a ridge-like edge on the bottom. The posterior tibia short, with a curved base, but the back mostly straight, with edges on both sides, and the cross-section almost rectangular. A yellowish-brown thin line on the back of the end of the posterior femora and the front of the posterior tibia. Apical spurs numbered three on both sides of the posterior tibia; the outer apical spurs shorter. The posterior tibia bearing short spines (the inner seven and the outer seven).
Abdominal terga densely pilose. Epiphallus wide and flat, shaped as two trapezoids connected and covered with yellow fine hairs. Cercus covered with sparse slender hair and dense suberect hard hair. Three small leaf-like protrusions on the inner side of the base.
Lamina subgenitalia spindle shaped, with a pointed end. Epiphallic lateral lobe long and protruding downward, with the distal end appearing as a knife from the posterior view, and densely pubescent on the inside ( Fig. 7A View FIGURE 7 ), ectoparamere short and thick, extending backward, and the end blunt and round ( Fig. 7B View FIGURE 7 ).
