Ericaella florezi n. sp.

( Figs. 2–5 View FIGURES 2 – 5 )

Types. Male holotype from Isla Gorgona, Gorgona National Park, Cauca, Colombia, VIII. 2003 (A. Rico et al. leg.) ICN 2274; paratypes, with same data as the holotype, 1 male IBSP 43395 (ex ICN 2276) and 1 female ICN 2277.

Etymology. The specific name is a patronym in honor of the Colombian arachnologist Eduardo Florez, for his contribution to Colombian arachnology.

Diagnosis. Males of Ericaella florezi differ from those of E. longipes by the small dorsal lobe of retrolateral tibial apophysis, not visible in ventral view ( Figs. 2, 3 View FIGURES 2 – 5 ); females can be recognized by the combined presence of a median suture in the ventral epigynal plate, lateral extensions of ventral plate oriented laterally rather than ventrally, atrium defined only anteriorly and large fertilization ducts ( Figs. 4, 5 View FIGURES 2 – 5 ).

Description. Male (holotype). Carapace yellow with olivaceous lateral bands. Legs yellow with orange distal area of tarsus. Chelicerae, labium and endites orange. Sternum yellow. Abdomen gray, with yellow spinnerets and dorsal median area with scattered white stains. Total length 4.60. Carapace 1.80 long, 1.50 wide. Clypeus 0.04. Eye diameters and interdistances: AME 0.16, ALE 0.16, PME 0.16, PLE 0.16; AMEAME 0.14, AMEALE 0.10, PMEPME 0.14, PMEPLE 0.12, AMEPLE 0.02. MOQ length 0.32, front width 0.84, back width 0.88. Chelicerae 1.10 long, with 3 promarginal teeth — median largest — and 4–5 retromarginal denticles. Sternum 0.90 long, 0.90 wide. Abdomen 2.60 long, 1.10 wide.
