• Medium to large bats, with long earsjoined above the forehead, large forked tragus, well-developed erect noseleaf, broad wings, large uropatagium, and no external tail.

• Afrotropical, Indo-Malayan, Australasian, and marginally Palearctic Regions. View Figure

• Tropical and subtropical rainforests, dry forests, and savannas.

• 6 genera, 6 species, 25 taxa.

• 1 species Critically Endangered, 1 species Vulnerable; none Extinct since 1600.
