TYPE LOCALITY: Unknown .
DISTRIBUTION: World-wide, in tropical waters.
COMMENT: Traditionally this species was included in the genus Lagenorhynchus , which is prefered by JGM and RLB but not DWR, WFP, and TK.
PROTECTED STATUS: CITES - Appendix II as Order Cetacea .
