Umbolenta View in CoL Complex
Three species comprise the Umbolenta Complex: H. umbolenta , H. kellymilleri , and H. loripes ( Figs. 108–110 View FIGURE 108 View FIGURE 109 View FIGURE 110 ). These are small species (ca. 1.23–1.32 mm), which have a pronotum with a distinct dark fascia, coarse dorsal punctation, lack a pronotal scintilla, and have very small plaques. The dorsal habitus is somewhat similar to that of H. concepcionica ( Fig. 119 View FIGURE 119 ) in the Steineri Complex, but the pronotum has a fascia, the metaventral plaques are smaller, and the male genitalia are very different in basic form. The male genitalia in this complex are very distinctive, short and wide, with the parameres originating on the ventral face of the main piece, the left paramere much longer than the right, and the gonopore is located at the end of a long tube-shaped process that extends well beyond the other parts of the distal piece ( Figs. 111–113). The currently known species are from Paraguay ( H. umbolenta ), and Venezuela ( H. kellymilleri , and H. loripes ).
