An Afrotropical species, all of whose known parasitic stages are usually found on Rodentia : Muridae ; adults alone have been collected from Carnivora : Canidae , and nymphs and larvae have been recovered from Soricomorpha : Soricidae . There are no records of Ixodes fynbosensis causing human parasitism.
