An Oriental and Palearctic species whose adults have been found on Artiodactyla : Bovidae , and Carnivora : Canidae ; nymphs have been collected from Rodentia : Muridae , and rarely from Squamata : Agamidae . Ixodes kashmiricus is a rare parasite of humans.
M: Pomerantzev (1948b), under the name Ixodes persulcatus kaschmiricus (lapsus), amended in Pomerantzev (1950) and given its current status in Filippova (1969)
